Seafood Weighing Solution

Seafood processing requires a balance of hygiene and speed. Our anti-sticky multihead weighers are tailored to manage fresh and frozen seafood without sticking, corrosion, or slowdowns on the line.

Equipped with dimpled anti-sticky contact surfaces and washdown-ready sealing, our weighers minimize product adhesion and maximize throughput for slippery, moisture-heavy seafood.

APPLICATION

  • Fresh whole fish, fillets, and loins (salmon, tilapia, cod, snapper)
  • Shellfish and crustaceans — shrimp, scallops, squid rings — that stick and clump under vibration
  • IQF and frozen block seafood, where ice glaze and condensation interfere with standard weigh cells
  • Retail trays through bulk foodservice cartons, on the same line or across shifts

FAQS

Can a multihead weigher handle wet, slippery seafood like shrimp and squid rings without jamming?

Yes. Anti-sticky dimpled contact surfaces reduce product adhesion at every hopper and pool weigher, and vibration feed settings are tuned specifically for shellfish shapes rather than dry, free-flowing product.

What stainless steel grade do I need for a line exposed to salt and brine?

Food-grade SUS 304 stainless steel is standard across the range. For seafood lines with heavy salt and brine exposure, an SUS 316 upgrade is available on request for better corrosion resistance over the equipment's service life.

How do you stop odor and residue from carrying over between different seafood batches?

Tool-less disassembly on contact parts lets operators strip down and hose off hoppers and weigh pans between batches, and Ingress Protection (IP) 64 baseline protection (IP66 on 4.0+, IP69 on 4.0 PLUS+ models) supports daily high-pressure washdown without water ingress.

Can the same weigher run both fresh chilled seafood and frozen seafood?

It depends on the format. Fresh fillets and shellfish run best on the anti-sticky 6/8/10 head range built for sticky, moist product. IQF and frozen block seafood are better matched to the 4.0 or 4.0 PLUS series, which handle condensation and cold-surface buildup at higher throughput.

What IP rating do I need for daily hose-down in a seafood plant?

IP64 is the baseline across the range. Move up to IP66 on the 4.0+ models or IP69 on 4.0 PLUS+ models if the line runs high-pressure, high-temperature washdown more than once per shift.

Does High Dream help integrate the weigher with downstream packaging for vacuum packs or trays?

Yes. High Dream weighers connect with vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS), horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS), premade pouch, and thermoforming packaging machines, and our team can advise on the configuration that fits your seafood pack format.
